About screenrecorder.one

screenrecorder.one is a free, browser-based screen recorder that makes your recordings look professional — without downloading anything.

Record your screen, then add cinematic zoom effects to highlight what matters, blur sensitive information, and cut out mistakes. When you're done, export a polished MP4 — all from your browser.

Why this exists

Every screen recording tool gives you the same thing: a flat, full-screen capture that's hard to follow. The viewer doesn't know where to look. Important details get lost in a sea of pixels.

Professional tools like Screen Studio solve this with zoom effects — but they cost $89+ and only work on Mac. Loom is great for async messaging, but it's not designed for polished demos.

We wanted something different: a free tool that runs in any browser and produces recordings that actually look good. Click where you want the viewer to look, and the video smoothly zooms in. It's that simple.

How it works

  1. Record — capture your screen with optional audio (mic, system, or both)
  2. Edit — add zoom-in effects by clicking, blur areas to hide sensitive info, cut sections to remove mistakes
  3. Export — we render a polished MP4 with all effects baked in, ready to share

Your raw recording stays in your browser until you export. When you hit export, we render the video on our servers with your effects applied, then deliver the final MP4. We delete it from our servers within 24 hours.

Built for

  • Product teams — create demos that guide the viewer's eye
  • Developer advocates — make tutorials that are easy to follow
  • Support teams — record walkthroughs with sensitive data blurred out
  • Content creators — produce social-ready clips that stand out
  • Anyone — who wants their screen recordings to not look terrible

Built by an indie developer

screenrecorder.one is an indie project — designed, built, and maintained by a solo developer who got tired of ugly screen recordings. No VC funding, no enterprise sales team. Just a tool that does one thing well.
